Getting to this out-of-the-way desert wilderness in Southern Utah meant driving for quite awhile on dirt roads, camping near the trail-head, and rising before the sun to insure getting the best light. After a few miles the trails disappeared, exposing beautiful mounds and rock formations extending for miles. The rare pool of water gave me the contrasting element I was looking for to reveal this strange and beautiful area.
